CALGARY - A man Calgary police consider a person of interest in the disappearance of a boy and his grandparents could be released from custody later this week.
Douglas Garland is being held on charges unrelated to the missing persons case and was in court this morning for what was supposed to be a bail hearing.
But the Crown and defence both agreed Garland could be released with a number of conditions.
Garland first needs to provide a new address for where he will be staying, as police continue to search his parents' property north of Calgary.
He is to return to court Friday.
Five-year-old Nathan O'Brien and his grandparents Alvin and Kathy Liknes were last seen June 29 and Garland was taken in for questioning by police last weekend.
