Nova Scotia man facing charges after allegedly attacking, killing cat

TRURO, N.S. - Police in Nova Scotia say a 29-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly attacked and killed a cat in Truro, N.S.

Officers say they were called on Saturday morning after a woman reported seeing a man pick up a cat and slam the animal on the ground.

Police say the cat died.

Investigators say the man from Truro is facing charges related to injuring or endangering an animal.

He's scheduled to appear in court in August.
