ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Police in Newfoundland have released the names of the two men accused in multiple shootings in St. John's last fall.

Jason Marsh of St. John's and Stephen Shaw of Conception Bay South face charges of attempted murder.

The pair, both in their 30s, were arrested Friday afternoon in Howley Estates following an 11-month investigation.

Police say they believe the two men were involved in two separate shootings. Last September, a 21-year-old man was shot (on Boyle Street).

One month later, a 30-year-old man was seriously hurt in a shooting (on William Heights).

The authorities say the attacks were connected and that the victims were targeted.
