New Brunswick premier to meet with lieutenant-governor to dissolve legislature

FREDERICTON - New Brunswick Premier David Alward is scheduled to meet with the province's lieutenant-governor today to dissolve the legislative assembly ahead of next month's election.

Alward's Progressive Conservatives have 41 members in the legislature, the Liberals under leader Brian Gallant have 13 seats and there is one Independent member.

The election is set for Sept. 22.
