CARROT RIVER, Sask. - Saskatchewan RCMP say no charges are expected against the driver of a minivan who struck and killed a two-year-old girl in a driveway.
Mounties say the driver was a family friend who did not see the toddler when she pulled into the driveway on the Red Earth First Nation near Carrot River on Sunday.
The toddler's mother performed first-aid but the child died before an ambulance arrived at the home.
Another two-year-old girl was struck and killed in Hinton, Alta., on Saturday.
RCMP say the girl's mother was pushing her in a stroller when a pickup truck pulled out of an alley and hit the stroller.
Relatives say the girl's family was from New Brunswick and moved to Alberta four months ago.
Investigators have not yet determined if the female driver of the truck will face charges.
