Ottawa police seeking public assistance to locate missing Halifax woman

OTTAWA - Ottawa police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing 23-year-old woman who was visiting Ottawa from Halifax.

Police say Alyson Provost arrived in Ottawa on Sunday and left a family member's home on Monday afternoon.

Police say her family contacted police when she failed to return.

Investigators say Provost is believed to still be in the Ottawa area.

Provost is described as white, 5-foot-4, 110 pounds, with light complexion, thin build, green eyes, and long red-brown hair.

Anyone knowing Provost's whereabouts is asked to contact Ottawa police.
