Traffic diverted after Saskatchewan highway left awash in spring runoff

RADISSON, Sask. - A partial closure is in place after runoff started flowing across a major highway in western Saskatchewan.

RCMP say the flooding was affecting traffic on Highway 16, about four kilometres east of Radisson.

As of Tuesday night, the eastbound lane was considered impassable.

Travel on the westbound lane was deemed hazardous, with only heavy trucks being allowed through.

Light traffic was being diverted north on Highway 340, east on Highway 40 and then south on Highway 12. (CJWW)
