Canada's Homan pulls out 7-5 win over Germany at world curling championship
SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Canada's Rachel Homan came from behind to beat Germany 7-5 at the Ford women's world curling championship on Wednesday.
Trailing 5-4 heading into the ninth end, her Ottawa Curling Club team stole one point to tie the game and then stole another two in the 10th for the win.
Canada and Switzerland are 7-1 with Sweden at 6-1 and China at 6-2.
The top four teams at the conclusion of the round robin advance to the playoffs.
Canada was scheduled to play South Korea later in the day.
