Oh no, not this hospital panhandling again! You would think they would be sick of begging for money after 25 years? A weekend full of lackluster performers and hosts that would make your chin hit the table and your eyes glaze over with boredom. When it's all over they will still have the rusty, dilapidated wheelchairs at the entrance. I'm not fallin' for it!

Wow Donny. This is a children's hospital. From the way you are speaking, you may think only Newfoundland has this. Every province has a telethon for their children's hospital.

Every hospital, and charity has their fundraisers.

If you have ever walked into the Janeway, you would know where this money goes to. Thankfully, you have not had to. Maybe one day, you will, and then realize how much of a worthy cause this is.

To end, by no means is this begging for money . No one is forcing you to do anything, if you do not want to call and donate....then dont. Some people see it as a great means to update the hospital.

Donny is an uninformed idiot, as always.

I think it;'s great to donate, but having to have this telethon only underlines that we need more money for healthcare. A telethon shouldn't be necessary.
I also think the Janeway, while very worthwhile as we should help our kids, gets the lion's share of fundraising attention, which is to bad only because we have seniors homes, ER's, etc etc that all need financial help.
