Jacksons Arm recreation committee gets $14,000 for rink repairs

The outdoor rink in Jackson's Arm is getting a facelift. The Jackson's Arm Recreation Committee is being provided $14,800 through the Community Capital Grant Program to help with reconstruction and repairs.
The community rink is used throughout the winter for ice hockey, general skating and broomball, and during the summer months for soccer.
Jackson's Arm is among more than 30 communities throughout the province which will receive funding to purchase equipment and upgrade their recreation and sport infrastructure through the most recent allocation of $450,900 through the Community Capital Grant Program.
The Community Capital Grant Program is an application-based program that provides funding of up to $15,000 to assist municipalities and recreation commissions to improve their recreation and sports infrastructures.
