The Town of Mount Moriah has been provided with $15,000 from the Community Capital Grant Program to assist with repairs to its town hall/recreation centre, a multi-purpose facility which serves as a venue for numerous community-based recreation programs.

The money will help facilitate repairs to the wheelchair access to the building, as well as to help with upgrades to insulation and exterior siding.

Mount Moriah is among more than 30 communities throughout the province which will receive funding to purchase equipment and upgrade their recreation and sport infrastructure through the most recent allocation of $450,900 through the Community Capital Grant Program.

The Community Capital Recreation Grant Program is an application-based program that provides funding of up to $15,000 to assist municipalities and recreation commissions to improve their recreation and sports infrastructure.
