Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove Community Centre gets funding for roof repairs

Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove has received $15,000 from the Community Capital Grant Program to support roof repairs to the town's multi-purpose community centre, which houses the town council offices, recreation centre, and heritage museum.
"This facility serves as a venue for the town's indoor recreation programs, and also houses its heritage museum," Tourism Minister Terry French said in a news release.
The Town of Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove is among more than 30 communities throughout the province which will receive funding to purchase equipment and upgrade their recreation and sport infrastructure through the most recent allocation of $450,900 through the Community Capital Grant Program.
The Community Capital Grant Program is an application-based program that provides funding of up to $15,000 to assist municipalities and recreation commissions to improve their recreation and sports infrastructure.
