Target Canada made a contribution of $10,000 to The Salvation Army Community and Family Services School Lunch Program. On April 29, staff from the Target store on Stavanger Drive were on site to present the donation. Target Staff also volunteered to serve lunch to the 150 students from the neighbouring Booth Memorial and Bishops College Schools, who attended the lunch program that day at The Salvation Army St. John’s Citadel.

This lunch program has been available to all students from both schools since September 2012 and the numbers have steadily increased along with the operational costs. The Salvation Army is grateful to its regular volunteers who run this program and for this new partnership with Target Canada, which will ensure the provision of food needed each week to feed students. Shown here Target employees and members of the Salvation Army work together on the lunch program.
