CRANE– “Miracles and magic and dreams come true cannot describe our joy. With radiant smiles and sparkling hearts, we welcome our little boy.” SAMUEL STEVEN made an early appearance into the world on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at the Health Science Center, St. John’s, weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz. Welcomed with love by first time parents Steven and Krista (Shave). Also celebrating are 11th time grandparents Ralph and Phyllis Crane of Upper Island Cove, 2nd time grandparents Sterling and Mildred Shave of Burin, great-grandmother Mary Shave of Burin, as well as Aunts, Uncles, family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring Samuel into our lives. We are truly blessed.

DAY– Doug and Jo-Ann Day are pleased to announce the birth of their darling baby girl, Sydney Joan Day, born October 10, 2010, weighing 7 lbs. 4 ozs. A little sister for Tiffany and Nick. Proud grandparents are Gordon and Joan Moulton and Georgina and the late William Day. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Miller for his excellent care before, during and after delivery.

JANES, Leah Patricia– Welcomed to the world on November 9, 2010, by parents Susan and Sean Janes and dog Daisy. Weighing in at 6 lbs. 15 ozs. and 19.5 inches long. Also welcomed by grandparents David and Patricia Curtis and John and Carol Janes, aunts and uncles Steve and Tanya Curtis, Mike and Krista Janes and Angela Janes, cousins Aidan and Kaitlynn Curtis. MURPHY/NORRIS– Proud first-time parents, Jeffrey and Alison are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Margaret. Anna was born on January 11, 2011 at 2:25 a.m. weighing 7 lbs 2 ounces at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's.  Welcoming her with much love are grandparents Edward and Linda Murphy of St. John’s and Lorne and Ann Norris of Mt. Pearl, as well as: Aunt Karen (Murphy) and Uncle Clay Reimer of St. John’s, Uncle Joey Murphy of New Minus, Nova Scotia, Uncle Mark and Aunt Sandhaya Norris of Ottawa, Ontario, and Uncle Andrew and Aunt Andrea Norris of St. John’s.  Anna is affectionately received by a large circle of family including numerous first cousins — Joshua, Julia, Kate, Rhiana, Rohan, Aaron and Grace, great aunts and uncles, other extended family members on both sides as well as many close friends. A very special thank you to Dr. Gill and the case room nurses for ensuring Anna's safe arrival as well as the 5 North B staff.

NOSEWORTHY– Ryan & Bethany (nee Penney) are delighted to announce the arrival of their son Alexander John born on November 11th, 2010 at the HSC, St. John’s weighing 7 lbs 9 oz.  Proud first time grandparents are Gord and Glennis Noseworthy of Corner Brook and second time grandparents Reg and Gloria Penney of Port Blandford. Also welcoming Alexander are Uncle Mark, Aunt Carol, Cousin Sarah, Uncle Gord and Aunt Candace. A big thank you to Dr. Bartellas, Dr. Murphy as well as the terrific nurses, especially nurse Lisa.

TENNENT– To Iain and Amy, a son, Alec William, on Friday, 14th January, 2011, in New Hampshire, a brother for Sara and Ewan. Delighted grandparents are Don and Kay Tennent.
