CLARKE– Snips and snails and puppy dog tails, That’s what little boys are made of! Donald and Venessa (nee Hollett) are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their precious little boy, Donald Thomas Clarke, Donald was born on January 9, 2011, 10:22 a.m., weighing 6 lbs. 13 oz. Welcoming Donald with open arms and hearts are grandparents Tom and Jeanette Hollett and Donnie and Tina Clarke, aunts Meghan and Tammy, uncle Jason and cousins Abby and Sophia. Special thanks to case room nurses Nicole and Amanda and Nurse Barbara Connolly on the 5th floor. Mommy would also like to thank Daddy for all his love, help and patience while waiting for me to arrive!

GALGAY– Sean Galgay and Nicole Martin are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their son, Aidan Martin Galgay. Aidan was born on December 28, 2010 weighing 7 lbs. 10 ozs. at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The proud grandparents are Frank and Rosemary Galgay of St. John’s and Larry and Hazel Martin of Halifax.

JACKMAN– Chris and Stephanie (nee Griffiths) are happy to announce the birth of their second child, a beautiful daughter. Reece Anna Jackman was born on January 21, 2011 at 8:50 a.m., weighing 8 lbs. 7 ozs. Baby Reece has been welcomed with open arms by her big brother Coles, proud grandparents David and Moya Griffiths and David and Rosemary Jackman and by her many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as extended family and friends. Thanks to Dr. Krista Brown and all involved in her care.

KIRKLAND– Very proud first time parents, Andrew and Jandi (Pardy), are thrilled to announce the birth of their precious baby girl, Leah Elizabeth, born on December 29, 2010, at 12:33 a.m., weighing 2 lbs. 8 ozs. at the HSC, St. John’s. Celebrating her arrival are proud grandparents Randy and Evelyn Pardy (Bonavista), Jim Kirkland (St. John's) and Glenda Kirkegaard (Stavanger, Norway). Leah has already stolen the hearts of Aunt Dena (Brian), Uncle Jason (Collette), cousins Brianna and Madison. Also welcoming Leah are great-grandmothers Pauline Fifield and Beatrice Pardy, and great-grandfather James Kirkland. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tilley and Dr. Kennedy for their exceptional pre-natal care, Dr. Healey and Dr. Ryan for a safe delivery and to all the amazing staff of the case room and 5NB at the HSC, especially the nurses in the NICU for their loving care. Mommy would also like to thank Daddy for the endless love, support and encouragement that he gave throughout her pregnancy, delivery and every day since.

LEE– Aaron and Allison are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl. Lauren Olivia Lee was born on October 8, 2010, weighing 6 lbs. 12 oz. Welcoming Lauren are proud first time grandparents Shawn & Marilyn Lee and Gary & Sheilagh Dale along with her great-grandmothers Kay Mills, Gertrude O’Leary and Margaret Dale. Lots of love from her Godmother Lisa Squires and Godfather Jamie Harding and her wonderful aunts and uncles. Special thanks to Dr. Smith and Dr. Bartellas for her exceptional prenatal care and to all the wonderful doctors and nurses in the case room for her safe arrival. Lots of love and special thanks go out to Allison's pregnancy & delivery support team: Lisa Squires, Sheena Fleming, Michelle Bartlett and April Lee. Also, to our family and friends, thank you for your support and well wishes.

MACKAY/JACKMAN– Born to Doug and Catherine on January 5, 2011. A brother for Charlie. James Arthur Cabot MacKay, weighing 8 lbs. 15 oz. Many thanks to the staff who attended to Catherine at the Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. A big welcome from grandparents Noreen and Don Jackman; his brothers Stephen and Joe MacKay. Aunts Sheila (Reid) Brownscumbe, cousins Stewart and John; Leslie (Jay) Chaulk, cousins Simon, Alison, Betham and Douglas. Uncles Sean, Robert and Paul (Sandra), cousins Mark and Lauren, also many family members and friends.
