Education: Honours degree in public administration, advanced certificate in political studies, University of Saskatchewan.
Before politics: Director of business development for the City of Swift Current; ran a communications company and tourism adventure business; radio disc jockey with the nickname The Wall of Rock.
Politics: Member of the legislature for Swift Current since 1999; former finance critic, justice critic and Crown investments critic; Saskatchewan Party leader 2004; premier November 2007.
Personal: Wife Tami. Three children: Colter, Megan, Faith
