REGINA - Saskatchewan's New Democrats say they would freeze tuition and improve student loans if the party forms the next government.
NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter (LING'-ehn-felt-ehr) says the tuition freeze would be for four years.
The party would also regulate any fees universities and colleges charge.
Lingenfelter says it's important that a new generation of trained and educated people can actually afford their education.
Other planks in the NDP's education platform include raising the family income level for determining student loans and subsidies for students who move for their studies.
The provincial election is Nov. 7.
