WINNIPEG - A judicial recount has confirmed a provincial election victory for the NDP in the St. Norbert constituency in Winnipeg.
Elections Manitoba says NDP candidate Dave Gaudreau (GOH'-droh) beat Tory candidate Karen Velthuis by 31 votes on Oct. 4.
Results on election night gave Gaudreau a 30-vote margin.
The Progressive Conservatives have five days to appeal.
The only other recount is set for Wednesday in Kirkfield Park in west Winnipeg, where the NDP squeaked out a win.
The standings in the legislature are 37 seats for the New Democrats, 19 for the Tories and one for the Liberals.
