 The YMCA-YWCA of Northeast Avalon will be hosting its 12th public Career Fair. The career fair attracts employers looking for skilled and unskilled labour. It will be held on September 17 from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Ches Penney Family Y, 35 Ridge Road. Sexual Violence Awareness

The 13th annual Sexual Violence Awareness Week 2012 is next week, September 17th -21st. To launch the week we invite all members of the community to join us at the CommUNITY Clothesline!

This event will take place on Monday September 17th, between 3:45pm and 5:15pm, just outside Confederation Building along Prince Philip Drive.

Hundreds of teeshirts will be displayed on a single line, which we will all hold in unity. The teeshirts bare powerful statements about the impact of sexual violence and of hope for a future free  from violence. They have been created by community individuals, and for many are tangible expressions of personal healing.
