The annual Burry Heights Food, Fun, and Fellowship Day will be held on Saturday, September 29 at the Burry Heights United Church Camp and Retreat Center just off the Trans-Canada Highway on the Salmonier Line. Soup, hot dogs and dessert will be served at lunchtime, and a hot pork loin supper for the evening meal. Other attractions will consist of a sale table of crafts, baked goods and preserves etc., and a silent auction. The evening will wind up with entertainment in the form of a fun filled variety show.

Heavenly Creatures' Fall Fleamarket will be held at The Curling Club (aka The Remax Centre), 135 Mayor Avenue, on Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We hope you can come out to support our cause! All money raised goes toward the veterinary bills, and supplies, for the animals (of which there are over one hundred) in our care. We'll be at The Curling Club (upper level) the day before the fleamarket on Friday, Sept. 28 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. for the donation drop-off.
