Come From Away reading series brings Dionne Brand to the East Coast. Once again the WANL Readings Committee has asked three Newfoundland authors to invite three "Come-From-Away" authors to read on the Rock. Griffin Poetry Prize winner Dionne Brand will be reading in St. John’s on Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at The Ship Pub and in Corner Brook on Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. at The Bar Room stop Jennifer’s. Brand has been invited to the CFA series by poet and educator Stephanie McKenzie, who will host the event in Corner Brook.
