The Compassionate Friends, a support group for bereaved parents, monthly meeting 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 25 in Room 2J619, (near pastoral care) at The Health Sciences Center. All parents dealing with the death of a child at any age are welcome to attend.

The Town of Conception Bay South invites the 50+ population to participate in a 50+ Bus Outing to Carbonear on October 25. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with the Princess Sheila Seniors Club for a game of cards, darts and good company. Pick up will start at 9:45 a.m. and arrival back to Conception Bay South is estimated for 4:30 p.m. Transportation will be provided by motor coach.There is no fee for this event but participants are asked to purchase their own lunch. Pick-up locations are Conception Bay South Recreation Complex – bus leaving at 9:50 a.m. and Robert French Memorial Stadium – bus leaving at 10:10 a.m. Pre-registration is required for this event. To register for this event call 834-6534. Spaces are limited.
