"Shine Your Light on Tibbs Eve" fundraiser

The St. John's Women's Centre is pleased to announce the return of the "Shine Your Light on Tibbs Eve" fundraiser on December 23 at 8 p.m. at the LSPU Hall. All monies raised benefits the Women's Centre to provide services and programs to women and children in the St. John's area. Raffles, cash bar, and an artist merchandise table will also be available. All tickets bought are eligible to win the door prize of a return flight for two to New York provided by Porter Airlines. Tickets are $48 including all surcharges. Christmas Musicale

The Gower Community Band presents the 40th annual band Christmas Musicale at Gower Street United Church on Sunday, December 23. The Musicale begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the 4th Sunday of Advent Worship Service. The Band Musicale has beome a Christmas tradition at Gower since 1973, and this year's event will begin a year of special GCB performances celebrating 40 years of music and community serrvice.
