Book Artist Tara Bryan will teach you how to make pop-up structures that can be used individually or combined to create cards, decorations, book illustrations, and more on February 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Michael’s Printshop, 72 Harbour Drive. Starting with simple cut-on-the-fold pop-ups and moving to more complex assembled movable structures, you will learn the basic techniques for designing your own pop-up images. There will be time to experiment with various papers, adhesives and other materials to hone your skills and play. Bring your own drawings, prints, paintings, magazines- anything on paper that can be cut out - and learn to turn them into 3-D movable images. Cost is $150 materials included.
