Mary Queen of Peace Knights of Columbus will be holding a St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Dance on March 9 at St. Pius X Parish Hall on Smithville Crescent beginning at 6:30 p.m. Hot roast beef dinner and dessert. Silent auction, entertainment, door prize and dance. Pill drop

The School of Pharmacy at Memorial University will host a public pill drop on Saturday, March 9, from 12-4 p.m. at the University Centre on Memorial’s St. John’s campus. Members of the public are encouraged to clear out their medicine cabinets and drop off their expired or unused medications for safe, confidential disposal. Prescription or over-the-counter medications in tablet or capsule form can be collected. No liquids, creams, gels or sharps can be accepted.

            This event is being held in conjunction with Pharmacist Awareness Month.
