Second annual prescription drug drop off day

    On Saturday March 29 Memorial University School of Pharmacy in partnership with the RCMP and RNC will be holding its second annual prescription drug drop off day. The event will run from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary HQ at #1 Fort Townshend. Entry will be through the main lobby of the building in the media room. Members of the public are encouraged to clean out their medicine cabinets and drop off any unused or expired medications. This will ensure the proper disposal of medications as chemical waste and additionally prevent medications from falling into the hands of youth. All identifying information will be removed from any and all pill bottles and persons turning in the medication will remain anonymous.
