Annual Constable Sam Jeffers Memorial Motorcycle Ride

    On Saturday September 20 Newfound Riders will lead the Annual Constable Sam Jeffers Memorial Motorcycle Ride. The Ride will start at 10 a.m.  from the Newfoundland and Labrador Police and Peace Officers Memorial at Confederation Building’s East Parking Lot rain or shine.  The Ride will travel with police escort to Whitbourne for a brief stop.  It will then head north to New Harbour and across the Tilton barrens to Carbonear City Hall. All monies raised to help pay for and maintain the sculptured Newfoundland and Labrador Police and Peace Officer’s Monument.  The Registration fee per rider is $10.

There will be a cleanup this weekend on the beach in St. Philips, Saturday, September 20th, at 9:30! Calling all Superheros! Kids, dress as a cleanup superhero and win! Come join in the fun! In addition to participating in an awesome cleanup and helping our oceans, there will be contests, kid’s activities, prizes, and refreshments! Be sure to sign-up in advance of the cleanup, so we know how many supplies and snacks we’ll need.
