Open House guests will have an opportunity to go behind the scenes of the radio and television studios where shows like CBC News: Here & Now and CBC Radio One’s St. John’s Morning Show are produced. They’ll catch a glimpse of the workings and operations of their local news network. Visitors will meet their favourite CBC personalities, including CBC meteorologist Ryan Snoddon, as well as St. John’s Morning Show host Anthony Germain, CBC News: Here & Now’s Debbie Cooper and Jonathan Crowe, and CBC News: Here & Now Late Night’s Carolyn Stokes. Pauline Thornhill, host of CBC’s Land & Sea, will be on hand to help mark the 50th anniversary of the show. Bring the kids to meet Kids’ CBC characters Huckle Cat, Bookaboo and Bo on the Go. CBC branded items such as T-shirts, caps and more will be available in the CBC Boutique with all proceeds going to the Community Food Sharing Association.
