    Defence lawyers often become emotionally invested in major cases like this. But they did a good job. I think the Judge made a mistake in not answering the jury's question about whether killing was the same as murder. That will show up in the appeal.

    Life in prison is that some kind of joke, he will be out in 10 years or less, lets not kid our selves no such thing a life in prison in Canada

    Newfoundland justice system has a record of jailing innocent people and not convicting the guilty. Another million dollars will be spent on appeals and a lighter sentence.

    "We believe he should have been acquitted",,,,,!!!!!!!!! They have to be kidding, right??? This guy stabs two people , REPEATEDLY, and these sleazebag defense lawyers think "he should have been acquitted"!! How in God's name do they sleep at night??????? Good riddance to this guy, send him away for good.
