This artlcle really touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Some people live a lifetime together and would not have achieved the happiness that Andre & Christy had in those short five years. Andre and his sons area so blessed to have each other and the support of loving and caring friendsand relatives. After all, that's what life is all about. Great things happens when somebody cares and believes! Keeping them all in my prayers. May God bless!

Your article was beautifully written and we thank you for recognizing a remarkable man. André is, as Christy always said, Awesome . He and the boys were such a blessing to her - she loved them passionately. The loving care and support provided to Christy from André never flagged, despite the fact that he was often playing many critical roles all at the same time - father, husband, care-giver, bread winner, homemaker... and he now, as then, never ceases to amaze us. He is the finest of fathers and Christy expressed a great peace in knowing this - what a tremendous gift for her at a time of such sadness. As Christy's aunt & uncle, we feel very blessed
    to know André.

I am Andre's sister-in-law (my sister was his wife Christy) and I am so proud of Andre, raising his sons, my nephews, with such love, strength, endurance and courage. These boys will grow up knowing the love of a devoted father, and the memories of an incredible mother.

I had the great privilege of working with Christy and becoming one of her many, many friends. Anyone who ever knew Christy must be missing her - she was an exceptional person. She often said how she was not at all worried about the boys, because she knew that Andre would continue to be a loving, devoted and truly wonderful father. Andre exemplifies what it means to be a parent - to continue on, in good times and in bad, to make a life WITH your children. Thank you for an article that brought tears to my eyes. Christy will always be with all of us, in our hearts.

It takes a very strong and determined man to raise kids without a mom but we are so very proud of you and your mother Irene must be very honored to have you as a son. Your dear father would be so proud also to see such strength in you. Good luck with your parenting and God bless you and the boys. Sincerely, Marie and Ron.
