Missing elderly mans body found in ditch

RCMP Holyrood received a complaint at 12:05 p.m. today that an elderly male, age 85, had gone for a walk from his residence on Salmonier Line about an hour previous and was missing.
RCMP from Holyrood, Police Service Dog section, Traffic Services East, and employees of Natural Resources and the Central Ground Search and Rescue Team from Holyrood, conducted a search of the area in and around Henders Road and Salmonier Line area.
The elderly male was found on the Salmonier line, off the road in a deep ditch along the side of the highway, deceased.
Police are awaiting the cause of death from the Medical Examiners office. Foul play is not suspected at this time. The name of the elderly man is not being released at the request of the family.
