Negotiations on the operation of the Stephenville, N.L., airport are underway with an American company.
Danny McCann, acting chairman of the Stephenville Airport Corp., says all employees and tenants have been briefed.
McCann says there are still some issues in the proposed deal to be ironed out including language and performance.
He says it's no secret that the last couple of years have been very difficult ones for the airport, but the deal has to be right before it is signed.
Although the American company has not been named it's believed to be KAZ Aviation.
