The provincial and federal governments are pumping $55 million into four post-secondary projects.
The money was announced this morning at the College of the North Atlantic's Philip Drive Campus in St. John's.
It will be spent over two years, with $31 coming from the province and $24 from the feds.
Peter MacKay, minister of National Defence and for the Atlantic Gateway, said the investment provides significant short-term economic stimulus and strengthens the country's long-term capacity for research and innovation.
Education Minister Darin King added the announcement builds on the province's aggressive infrastructure plan.
The projects funding include a new CNA campus in Labrador City, building upgrades to the CNA's campuses in St. John's and Seal Cove, and a new academic building for Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook.

Also goes to show, Graham, that the feds want our resources and need our votes to get it. I guess you'll be helping them along with that? As far as I'm concerned, they're just giving back what they denied us in the budget, a.k.a. 'stimulus' package.

WELL, WELL, WELL. THE ONLY THING POSITIVE ABOUT THIS NEWS, IS THE FACT THAT THE MONEY IS BEING PUT WHERE PEOPLE IN GRAND FALLS HAVE MONEY TO LIVE QUITE A FANCY AND NOT WANT FOR ANYTHING AS MY FRIEND FROM NOVA SCOTIA SAID IN HALIFAX AIRPORT LAST JULY. YOU KNOW - I CALL THIS SORT OF A CLASS DISTINCTION SETUP, AS WHEN DOWN IN THE OLD PART OF TOWN, AROUND THE PAPER MILL, AND CARMELITE ROAD, HILL ROAD, HIGH STREET, ETC., I WAS UNDER THE UNDERSTANDING JUST FROM WALKING AROUND THAT THEY DOWN IN THE LOWER PART OF THE TOWN NEEDED MONEY FOR INFRASTRUCTURE, ROADS FALLING APART, BRIDGES CRUMBLING, ETC. ONLY TODAY, I READ THEY ARE PUTTING THE MONEY INTO THE UPPER, NEWER PART OF TOWN WHERE THE LARGE HOMES AND NICE LAWNS ARE, SOMETHING LIKE RUNNING AROUND LOS ANGELES LOOKING AT THE STARS HOME, ETC. NO WONDER THEY CALL THIS TOWN, AND OTHERS - LA-LA-LAND, ONLY THING IS; NOT EVERYONE IS SINGING THE SAME TUNE. I TAKE THIS AS SORT OF A CLASS DISTINCTION RESOLVEMENT, AND THEY ARE TAKING THE MONEY, AND USING THE FEDS MONEY, AND PROV. MONEY TO HELP THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T NEED IT. SUCH A SHAME, LET ME TELL YOU. THIS IS COMING FROM A TRUE BLOODED NEWFOUNDLANDER WHO HAD TO UPROOT TO MAKE IT IN THIS WORLD.
