THIS IS GREAT NEWS. LET'S HOPE THE PROVINCE SEES THE ROYALTIES OF THIS NEW PROJECT, IN LIGHT OF HARD ECONOMIC TIMES, ESPECIALLY DOWN THERE LATELY.

To Nasty Nate, get over yourself. When have any of us ever seen so much money spent on schools, roads or health care? Never that's when. Sure there are lots of problems but those problems have been festering and growing after decades of neglect by former goverments. Rome wasn't built in a day and NL won't be brought up to par that quickly either. I just thank heaven most of our former premier's aren't in office today or it would all have been given away like in the past.

Graham, what hard work is it you refer to by past premiers? I'm sure you have a source of proof for that statement as well, right? Unless, of course, you mean the hard work putting us in the fiscal mess the province has enjoyed for the last, oh, I dunno, 60 or so years? I will agree with you on that, lol. Incidentally, I've said a multitude of times that I am not dumb enough to think Williams is solely responsible. It's obvious that accomplishments of this magnitude require input from a wide variety of people.....all of which are considered professionals or experts in their respective fields.

As for how many died because of Williams' and Wisemans' coverups? That's an easy one.....NONE. If you know something different, what in the hell are ya waiting for? Here;s your chance.....YET AGAIN, to prove what you say! Here's a direct quote from the Cameron Report: 'The procedures and protocols within Eastern Health for ER/PR testing during the period from 1997 to 2005 were so deficient as to be practically non-existent.'

I hope this helps you see just who was in charge, who covered up information, and who, ultimately is responsible for any deaths that occurred. Note the reference to where these non-existent procedures and protocols were.

It seems like you're finally seeing a little light Graham. Continuous, unsubstantiated hate is all I've seen from you.........until now. There's a bigger plan at work here and in 20 years, I'll be happy to post here and point it out if you still have trouble, lol. And, just a reminder, my mind is still open to read any proof you'd like to present to the contrary.

Tell me, does this announcement do anything in your mind to counter the 3.75 mil Danny's buddies made of the fiber deal?

Bingo we agree at last Bones. Health care has never gotten more attention than it has since Danny Williams became Premier and it got even more attention after Ross Wiseman became Health Minister. Sad part Bones my friend it got lots of attention for all the wrong reasons. Lies cover ups cut backs funding cuts. As for my head it it held up proudly and always will be. Great announcement by the premier today indded Bones we agree again. LOL. Also we need to give a big thank you to many previoues Premiers both PC and Liberal who made this day possible with all the hard work they did leading up tp this. Peckford, Wells, Grimes, even back to Frank Moores. Thank you one and all. Question Bones simple unbiased one. Do you know how many people died needlessly when Wiseman and Williams covered up what they knew about the hormone receptor testing? I do Bones. Ok it all started years before they showed up but when they found out certain things it was still hidden from us. As scarey as this sounds for me to say Bones it is nevertheless true. You or I could be premier here today and this would still be happening. Premier Williams or as JD calls him the saviour LOL just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Thats life. Lets not forget how we got to this point and who helped get us here. Yes Danny has done many great things and will continue to do many more. We agree again Bones. This is really scareing me now LOL. But for the love of God the real God not Danny, dont try and make it seem that everything good in this province is brought on as a direct result of Danny Williams. As some have said the sun does not shine out of Dannys rear end, and not because your head is always up there Bones but because as good as you and I think he is in many ways he is not the perfect little saviour many have proclaimed him to be. By the way Bones your way too young for this but I remember when staff out numbered patients in hospitals medical attention was almost same day but not quite. I remember a day when the Federal Government and the Provincial Governmant actually talked to each other and things got done. A B C for me way back when was what I learned in school not a campaign against the very Government that controlls the revenues this province gets from it. Temper tantrums were for spoiled children not Premiers, school yard bullies were just that bullies in the school yard not the Premier of the province..

Wow!! This is awesome news!! NL will be the envy of the rest of Canada in the years to come. We are very lucky to have such a great leader to maximize on our resources. The people of NL will see the benefits of our Premier's work in the years to come. News like this is awesome for all NL's and I can't believe we all can't see that.

Way to go Premier Williams!! You truly are the savior of our great province!!

I wonder what Harper was thinking when he heard this news? Can't wait to see that crooked Prime Minister gone for good!

Its those bib bad Liberals that made the mess, all your government did was hide the truth from us and continues to do so today. Oh well does this mean we are a have province again for a few days. Thank you Emperor Danny.

I find it absolutely amazing the number of ignorant people that post comments. Do these people know just how ridculous they sound. Mr. Williams is doing an admirable job compared to his peers of the past. It's amazing how quickly people forget just how bad off our province was before Mr. Williams was elected our Premier. Wake up and smell the oil people! It will take some to correct the mistakes from the past.

I really wonder where all this money goes. In Alberta you can at least see where it has gone, but when you have someone talking billions of dollars, and the roads and health care in the state they are you really need to wonder if this is not just all hype.

Like the old saying goes, Show me the money. Talk is cheap, and that all anyone has seen out of all of these so called billions for the past few years. If you have it, you better well stop sending it on foolishness and put it into the reconstruction of the province from the ground up.

Get with the program or just keep your trap shut about things that no one ever sees except for on paper. Burning paper only keeps you warm for a few seconds, and by no means feeds anyone.

If Danny Williams was 1/4 the man David Thompson was he would have this province looking like a gem, but no we still look like the beggar child next door.

Fantastic announcement, I will add it to my ever growing list, heh. It doesn't say over what time frame, though, but I guess 10 billion over 20 or 25 years wouldn't even be that bad, would it?

Graham: Can you quote me a time in your life when health care in NL was considered any better than it is now? Can you quote me a time in your life where health care in NL ever got close to half the attention it is getting now? Do you realize how long Wiseman has been in control of this portfolio? Simple, unbiased questions, to which there exists factual, documented answers. Your comments are, as usual, obtuse, insulting, and grossly misinformed. How can open line programms function for the benefit of people with the premier ready to shoot randy simms for expressing an opinion. that tongue lashing that randy simms took from williams will frighten other peoples desire to speak out. they may have a son, father or good friend working for gov (only if they are tory). this is a bad situation.
