Outstanding contributions to mental health recognized

This past weekend in St. John's, Canadian psychiatrists honoured their colleagues - psychiatrists, psychiatric residents and other exceptional individuals - for their contributions to the mental health of Canadians.
The recognition awards were presented the Canadian Psychiatric Association's 59th annual conference in the city.
Among the numerous awards, Jeff Kelland from St. John's took second place in the R.O. Jones Award for Best Paper at the conference.

The Canadian Psychiatric Association is the national voice for Canada's 4,100 psychiatrists and more than 600 psychiatric residents.
Founded in 1951, the CPA is dedicated to promoting an environment that fosters excellence in the provision of clinical care, education and research.
