The RCMP found a missing hunter from Bishop's Falls on Wednesday - the same evening he called police on his cellphone to say he was lost in the woods.
The 43-year-old was located by a Cormorant helicopter about 6:30 p.m. and was airlifted to hospital where he was treated for mild hypothermia.
Police say he did not suffer any other injuries.
An initial ground search by the RCMP and Exploits Search and Rescue was stopped because of poor weather, so 103 Search and Rescue Squadron, 9 Wing Gander was called for assistance.
The RCMP reminds anyone travelling in the wilderness to take a cell with them.
