A 41-year-old Torbay man is in serious condition at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's after falling from the roof of a house in the community this morning.
The man had been shingling the roof of a new home on Moores Valley Road.
Const. Shawn O'Reilly of the RNC said the cause of the man's fall is under investigation.
"He received fairly serious injuries but is conscious and alert," O'Reilly said.
O'Reilly said the RNC received the call about 10 a.m. Occupational Health and Safety officials were also called to the scene.
