Toronto -

The man Toronto police were looking for in connection with the
slaying of a young woman has been arrested.

Media reports say Levi Samuel Aggek, 33, of no fixed address, was arrested at a Toronto shelter Sunday.

A warrant had been issued for Aggek's arrest after the body of 26-year-old Spring Phillips was found in a downtown apartment.

Aggek has been charged with second-degree murder.

Police say Phillips, who is Toronto's 56th homicide victim of the year, was letting Aggek stay overnight at her apartment.

Aggek arrived in Toronto from Newfoundland three months ago.
