Woodward's Oil Ltd. announced this morning that it has bought the Lewisporte fuel terminal from Imperial Oil.
The facility serves as the main supplier for aircraft fuel for Gander, and also serves as a storage and distribution terminal for gasoline, diesel and home heating oil.
"The town of Lewisporte is very pleased by this announcement and is fully supportive of both parties' decision," said Lewisporte Mayor Brian Peckford. "This is a win-win-win situation and we look forward to working with the Woodward Group."
