RCMP in Bay d'Espoir are seeking the public's assistance to help solve a case of a suspicious vehicle fire that occurred on the afternoon of Dec. 27.
About 4:30 p.m. that day, police and fire crews responded to a complaint that a former school bus was engulfed in flames. The bus, that was green in colour, was located just off the side of the road on the Bay d'Espoir Highway several kilometres north of the intersection to Milltown and St. Alban's. The bus had been parked in the location for a period of time and had been used for logging operations.
Police are asking that if anyone has any information in relation to the fire that they contact Bay d'Espoir RCMP at 709-882-2230 or Crimestoppers.
