The companies that operate the Hibernia, White Rose and Terra Nova oilfields off Newfoundland are back on the stand at the inquiry into offshore helicopter safety in St. John's today.
Oil executives will continue a joint presentation during the second day of hearings following a month-long break at the inquiry.
On the stand are Paul Sacuta, president of Hibernia Management and Development Co. (HMDC); Trevor Pritchard, manager of operations for Husky Energy; and Gary Vokey, Terra Nova asset manager for Suncor Energy.
The helicopter inquiry led by commissioner Robert Wells was called last spring after the March 12, 2009, helicopter crash that claimed the lives of 17 people.
