A school bus driver in northern Ontario has been charged with failing to stop for another school bus.
Provincial police say the driver was behind the wheel of her bus when she proceeded to pass the other school bus, which had its red lights on and its stop-arm extended.
The alleged incident occurred in Nipissing Township, south of North Bay, Ont., last week.
Police say the stopped bus was preparing to pick up children.
As a result of the investigation, 46-year-old Wendy Restoule of Powassan, Ont., was charged with failing to stop for a school bus.
Violators can face fines of up to $2,000 and six demerit points.
