Newfoundland and Labrador's Find Yourself Here television advertising campaign continues to win international accolades, and has now been awarded platinum honours at the Adrian Awards Gala, sponsored by Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
Only 20 platinum winners were named from more than 1,100 entries during the awards ceremony Monday evening in New York City.
According to a news release, the provincial government's marketing efforts were also recognized with five gold and two silver Adrian Awards.
They are: gold - Find Yourself Here Television Campaign; gold for single television ad - Architecture; gold for single television ad - Gros Morne; gold single television ad - Viking; gold for Online Hiking Campaign; silver - Find Yourself Here Integrated Campaign (multiple elements); and silver - Hunting and Fishing Online "Wallet" Campaign.
"In less than a week, the province's tourism marketing campaigns have been in the spotlight both nationally and internationally," Tourism Minister Terry French said.
"Last week it was a gold CASSIE Award for the Fresh Air component of the Find Yourself Here campaign, and this week, even more honours. There is no question this province is seen as a leader in the world of travel marketing, and that our campaigns continue to fulfill our main objective of promoting Newfoundland and Labrador as a destination of choice."
The Adrian Awards are presented by HSMAI, an international organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all divisions of hospitality, travel, and tourism. The awards honour creative talent and best practices in hospitality, travel and tourism marketing, and recognize innovative and successful approaches to advertising, public relations, and web marketing.
