A eight-year-old child was injured in a hit-and-run accident near St. Andrew's Elementary school on University Avenue in St. John's this afternoon.
The child was taken to hospital in ambulance and the extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary are investigating.
