Shea Heights fatal fire ruled accidental

An unattended portable heater has been determined as the cause of a fatal fire in a Shea Heights home on Feb. 2, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Feb. 2, RNC officers responded to a residential fire in the Shea Heights area of St. John's where a 43-year old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
RNC Fire Investigators have determined the fire was accidental and no foul play was involved.
