A power outage has shut down both the East and West Blocks of Confederation Building.
According to Newfoundland Power, crews were sent to the building but found the problem was internal.
Government workers based in the building have been sent home, though those able to work from home are doing so.
The Department of Transportation and Works has confirmed the problem has been found in a transformer bank in the parking lot of the West Block.
Repair crews are currently working on the problem and power is expected to be back on later today.
