Beliefs are dangerous. Beliefs cause the mind to stop functioning. A non functioning mind is clinically dead. Believe in nothing

You present a very strong argument, Andrea. God is evident in everything around us . What is that supposed to mean? There is no evidence that god exists. Why don't these missionaries go and shovel people out based on a simple gesture of kindness - nothing more. No ulterior motive such as spreading God's word . They're just looking to buy votes in the same way as politicians at election time. Oh, and another thing. I am educated, open minded and a free thinker. Next time don't be so angry. I don't think Jesus would approve!

You ignorant uneducated idiot! God is evident in everything around us. Even though it makes us believers wonder why he would create an idiot that would say such things about him!

Everybody is an atheist in saying that there is a god - from Zeus to Shiva - in which he does not believe. All that the serious and objective atheist does is to take the next step and to say that there is just one more god to disbelieve in.

My last vestige of hands off religion respect disappeared in the smoke and choking dust of September 11th 2001, followed by the National Day of Prayer, when prelates and pastors did their tremulous Martin Luther King impersonations and urged people of mutually incompatible faiths to hold hands, united in homage to the very force that caused the problem in the first place.

lol did I just read that correct Andrea? You, who believes in talking snakes and feather winged humans, are calling someone uneducated? uhh, did you want to explain yourself on that one? didn't think so.

Andrea, is god evident in a baby being born without vital organs because the mother was a crack addict, or in Haiti where 200 000 people died due to earthquakes, or in a fireman being shot because he tried to put out a fire in a methlab, or in a wife and children beaten savagely by their drunken spouse/father every night, or............. I could do this all day.

I would be happy to listen to you babble on about Jesus as you shovel my 75' driveway that usually builds up to about 3' high if the wind blows the right way.

    I don't believe in god.
Even if you don't, you should have the utmost respect for other people's beliefs. Everyone is different, everyone has had different life experiences. There is nothing wrong with believing.
The mormon boys NEVER push their religion on you. They offer you information and let you choose whether you want to further your knowledge.

    Don't be so disrespectful.

Come shovel me out next time boys. I'd love to hear you PROVE that God exists, that Jesus was more than just a well meaning guy in a robe and sandals, ... So sad to see young minds wasted on fiction... you could have at least picked something good, like Harry Potter or Star Trek!

I'd rather an athiest shovel me out. Then we could ponder Canada's failings in mens hockey instead of wasting our breath on religion!

Nice to hear about young people who believe in respectful values and are serving others. Not so nice to read some of the tasteless comments!
