Man dead after snowmobile crash

A 48-year-old man has died on the province's Northern Peninsula as a result of injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident.
RCMP in St. Anthony said they received a call of a single snowmobile accident Saturday night in Straitsview on Route 436.
The injured man, a resident of Hay Cove was taken to hospital in St. Anthony, but succumbed to his injuries.
The incident is still under investigation by police and the man's name is being withheld.

    Mr hunt Where the hell did u come from and who do you think you are Family members and friends of this dead man will read this Were you dug up from some sort of hideous rock to be so heartless, cruel, ignorant and uneducated to pass judgement so harshly... I pity your faamily who has to live with you on a daily basis You are a piece of scum

    Nothing beats the thrill of racing the skidoos on the Torbay bypass highway and it's not even finished yet. If you're gonna spend the afternoon riding your skidoo on the highway, dodging cars and trucks, you are better off checking your ins policy before you go.

    To Willie Hunt: You assume to much here man. It happened in Straitsview which is located on route 436.

    The guy was not racing on the highway. This was a freak accident that can happen to anyone without warning. Don't assume that this guy was being an idiot and racing on a highway closed or otherwise!!
