Colleen Power recognized for performances in Montreal

Newfoundland singer/songwriter Colleen Power has received an award for her performances at Montreal's Rendez-vous de la Chanson Vivante over the past year.
Power was recognized for performances during a weekly series of events for emerging singer/songwriters that features performers from all over the world.
She received a trophy for Maritime Artist of the Year.
Power was unable to attend the recent awards ceremony because she is working hard to complete her French degree at Memorial University.
Power, who is in the process of recording her second full-length French CD, has been invited for a return engagement at Les Rendez-Vous de la Chanson Vivante in May.
