Old Argentia school damaged, wire swiped

There's been a costly crime at the old naval base in Placentia, the RCMP says.
The Mounties responded to a break and enter at the old Argentia School, Building 850, at the old Naval base Monday.
They say extensive damage was done to the building and a substantial amount of copper piping and wiring was stolen.
The estimated cost of repair is between $50,000-$75,000.
The RCMP Forensic Identifications Section assisted with the investigation, which is continuing.
If anyone has information regarding this incident, they are asked contact the Placentia/ Whitbourne District of the RCMP at 227-2000 or Crimestoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
